Primary Purpose:

Responsible for overall balanced financial performance of branch with emphasis on retail lending, deposit acquisition and non-interest income generation.  Proactively initiate, develop, and manage long-term, profitable relationships with clients.  Deliver superior quality service in person or by phone such that client needs are met on a consistent, positive basis.  Provide general supervision of branch with focus on the branch’s sales efforts.

Note:

FCL levels I--IV will be differentiated by deposit size, retail loan portfolio, earnings (branch net income before tax), client households assigned to, and marketplace potential of the branch, in addition to other criteria determined relevant by Banking Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job.  Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below.  Specific activities may change from time to time.

1.  Responsible for sales management within the branch.  In addition, provide quality leadership, encouragement, and guidance to all branch personnel, while ensuring that clients receive superior client service quality.  Responsible for the execution of BB&T’s sales process within the branch through BB&T supported sales processes and other Banking Network initiatives.

2.  Responsible for coordinating efforts to ensure BB&T client service expectations are delivered.

3.  Make proactive daily contact with clients and prospects either by phone or in person to identify additional client financial needs, initiate client relationships, and attract and retain new client households.

4.  Responsible for instilling the BB&T Mission, Vision, and Values within the branch team.

5.  Initiate, direct, and participate heavily in outside retail client development and in-house marketing programs.  Participate in civic, government, professional, business, and community affairs, associations, and groups to solicit and develop new retail and micro business.  Promote BB&T’s positive public image in the community.  

6.  Responsible for retail loan performance within the Region pertaining to growth, profitability and quality.

7.  Responsible for the balanced growth and profitability of the Bank’s deposit products.

8.  Prepare annual marketing plan for branch.

9.  Aggressively market non-credit services such as Trust, Insurance, Discount Brokerage, Cash Management, Investments, etc.

10.  Responsible for coordinating with responsible Area Operations Officer to ensure that internal controls are maintained with a proper emphasis on operational issues.  Maximize operations efficiently by managing non-interest expenses.

11.  Responsible for providing leadership and coaching members of the branch sales team to ensure maximum performance and attainment of personal goals and improvement plans.

12.  Responsible for staffing of the branch team to include hiring, goal setting, performance reviews and ratings, salary reviews, promotional transfers, terminations, training, etc.

13.  Manage and/or actively participate in consultation with the Teller Coordinator or Teller Supervisor, as defined by Bank, in personnel related duties of the Tellers, including: 

     a.  Recruiting, interviewing, and selecting

     b.  Training and development

     c.  Efficient staffing and scheduling

     d.  Salary administration

     e. Routine coaching and counseling

     f.  Timely performance reviews

     g.  Staff disciplinary issues

     h.  Automated time and attendance

1.  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related training (will consider equivalent, applicable years of experience)

2.  Minimum of three years financial services experience or graduate of BB&T’s Leadership Development Program

3.  Minimum  of one year of leadership experience

4.  Strong interpersonal, sales and relationship management skills

5.  Strong written, verbal and communication skills.  Must speak fluent English

6.  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office desktop applications

7.  Demonstrate ability to provide leadership and to handle multiple priorities under time constraints

1.  Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in business, accounting, finance or banking

Position Description:    The native Spanish speaker camp director is responsible for the daily operation of camp, assists in staff training; supervises all camp staff, summer youth, specialists, volunteers and campers. Experience supervising staff and developing schedules, as well as staff relationship skills required.  Camp director must have extensive working experience with children. Camp director will also directly supervise campers- programming age appropriate activities, and work with camp counselors to take care of the daily needs of campers, including discipline. The camp director must have a valid NC driver’s license with a good driving record to drive participants in a 15 passenger van and have the ability to drive a truck when needed. Camp director is also responsible for ensuring that counselors keep campers active and engaged in activities, ensure that camp equipment is well maintained, and help with camp activities and plan as required.  Directors participate and supervise all camp activities including transporting participants, swimming, games, crafts, nature, fishing, lunch, and field trips. The camp director must be dynamic, initiative taker, highly motivated and creative; should also posses interpersonal, leadership skills and conflict resolution skills. Applicants should be at least 21 years old, college educated preferred and be willing to obtain or maintain Red Cross Standard First Aid and CPR (in-house training provided.) Applicants should have prior supervisory experience and experience working with children from different ethnic, national, cultural, and social-economic backgrounds. The camp director should have initiative and interest in engaging counselors and participants in the various cultural components outlined in the camp curriculum. Excellent communication and leadership skills are necessary.  Experience in a camp setting preferred. Director must be organized, responsible, confident in dealing with conflict resolution, and have wide experience in working with youth. Directors must ensure that all direct reports must adhere to proper discipline procedure as stated in training. Directors must be highly motivated, creative, reliable, and punctual.  Directors must provide a safe working environment for all.  Directors must be knowledgeable of the Hispanic and Latin American Culture. Background in Recreation, Latin American Studies, Spanish, or other related area of study preferred. North Carolina ESL/Bilingual Licensed Teacher is a plus.
Camp Description:
Hispanic Heritage camp is an opportunity for children ages 8-10 to discover traditions from different Hispanic countries through music, dance, language, and arts & crafts. Camp sessions run from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday from June 14 to June 18. This camp has 10 campers. Camp is located at Pullen Community Center.

Training:  Staff training will begin late May/early June with additional training sessions scheduled through mid June. All sessions of staff training are mandatory and staff should expect to attend throughout.
